My interior progress

Postby Stevie mark » Mon Feb 15, 2016 3:09 pm

It feels so good to pull the cover back and see a knight 2000 style interior inside......the feeling is like nothing else......

Wow, you're further along with this car than you let on. Looks very clean. Who's parts do you have in there, Stevie?

Knight 2015

Postby Stevie mark » Thu Feb 18, 2016 8:18 am

Hi guys and gals....from now I will refer to my car as the Knight 2015...since it is not a replica,I don't feel comfortable referring to the model as 2000....most of my parts are home-made.....or gifts from close friends....or someone else's trash......I refuse to let money stand in the way of a life-long dream...please keep any negative comments to yourself......I love knightrider just as much as the rest of you.....one car can make a difference!.....here is a pic of my pod holder...the buttons are from an oversized tv remote I found at the discount shop...

Hollow gullwing

Postby Stevie mark » Thu Feb 18, 2016 1:50 pm

When my gullwing got here,it was just a hollow unit......so much for the low price tag....anyway,I cut the firebird steering wheel and zip-tied the gull wing to the front of it.......I know its not safe.....but it did give me a visual needed to move forward.....

I see what you've done, Stevie, and i'm sure you're not the first to do something like that but here's what you should do now:

Get some cash together and drop Joao a line at Knight Passions. He will fix you up with a superb gullwing that's top quality and looks
perfect. Your hollow gullwing can make an interesting ornament or wall display piece. Going cheap in this hobby just doesn't work.
Saying that, i understand your eagerness to see the gullwing fitted and it actually looks good sitting in there.

Chris.

A different approach for sure and doesn't look too bad. Keep it up.

Kitt 2015 lower console

Postby Stevie mark » Fri Feb 19, 2016 1:58 pm

While thinking a little "outside of the box",I brought some Legos and Lite-Brites on board to fill the void on the lower console.......

Ha..better quality than some of the stuff that i've seen touted around on Ebay in the past.
