Indiana Guy with an External Replica

Postby IndianaKnight » Tue Jan 20, 2015 3:16 pm

Hello all. I just signed up over here. I've been laying low for a few months but I was pretty active on the "other" site (323i Wagon) and some of the Facebook (Chad Simpson) pages for a while. I quit FB and really haven't worked on my replica much, but I'm ready to get back at it as soon as the weather clears up.

Below are pics of what I started with and where i am now. I'm collecting replica interior parts and am going to start assembling what I have. I'm looking forward to getting back to active in the community again.

Thanks guys.

I've done all the work myself, except for the paint which I assisted on.

Here is a little project I've been working on for my lower console. I'm cheap. I scored an Alpine 7155 off eBay and tore it apart. I soldered new LED's to the board and cut the face down. I know the FF and RW buttons are upside down, but I liked them better that way. Also, the blue LED isn't necessarily accurate. It's just my own little touch. I swiped someones picture off Google for the comparison.

Have you seen billy's s4 console? Billy's a season 4 guy too. He put the REW/FF buttons the same way you did.

That's funny! I have seen Billy's page and I would LOVE to have that lower accessory set up, but like I said, I'm cheap :D . Maybe someday when everything is "done" and I start to upgrade.

I'm guessing that the pic that I lifted must be one of the ones that Zapper used to make then.
