That's good heath. My 3.73 has me at 2000-2200 rpm when driving at 70 ... so what your getting is about right. I have a 700r4.

That's exactly my set up Tony. 3.73 gears behind a 700R4 tranny. It'll give great launch, but behave itself on the highway enough that mileage shouldn't be absolutely horrible. With the original 305, being as whipped as it was, the car pulled around 20mpg at 60-65 mph. If I get 15-16 on the highway with the new mill, I'll be happier than a pig in....Well, you get it.
