July 2017 Roll Call

Postby Pac-Man » Sat Jul 01, 2017 8:21 am

There are three goals with these Roll Call threads:

 To engage as many members as possible and get a feel for how active the board is

Let's create some activity on this board...this place could and should be hopping!

 To encourage more regular progress posts
Even if you don't have any updates to share....let us know you are alive and well. :) Lurkers, this means you too!

 To serve as a reminder to update your listing on The Ultimate Knight Rider Map
Remember that you can add pictures, videos, web site links, or just update the text to reflect where you are with your project.

These Roll Calls will always be at the first of the month, but you can check in at any time during the month.

I'm here but haven't done anything to my car. Maybe sometime soon I will get the oil leaks fixed and it back on the road. I still have to have the front end checked. I might just get all new parts for front end and check ball joints and barrings.

Great to hear from you Julie! Yeah, probably the way to go...just do it all and be done with it.

Central PA checking in. I finally finished installing my countdown and re-painting the dash... Just got the voicebox mounted last night. Now it's time to start installing the overlays & TV frames. Add a little structural reinforcement and re-install the electronics.

Thanks for checking in! You should think about creating a thread under the Replica Build Progress section and sharing some pics! We'd love to see it!

Checking in before July runs out. I still need to update my progress thread with the A/C delete box install. Still haven't gotten the dash electronics in yet. That has been pushed to October. Best to do things like that in the winter when there are no car shows/cruise-ins. I hate having the car down during show season, especially since it was gone all last year for paint. Just decided to enjoy it this year. I did have to replace my mini-starter a few weeks ago, looks like I need to heat wrap the new one. I think the headers cooked my last one.

Well Danny and I checked my 84 and it doesn't seem to need ball joints or barrings, it didn't even move checking them, up and down. Now we did check side to side and what we figured out is it needs tie rods. Got some moog inner and outer tie rod ends and the sleeves. Will have that done soon. I did however find out my Ram needs ball joints...ugh...but just turned to 200K so I guess it would need them.
